The next place we went to is the Great Wall.  For sure, it was miles and miles long.  I spent 45 minutes trying to get to the top of the first tower.  If you look at the 7th picture in this series, that tiny red tower in the background is where I walked up to. My goodness, it was tiresome.  The steps were pretty hard to walk.  The steps have no rhyme or logic.  Some were short then others were tall.  There was one that was as high as my knees.  The steps were also very steep.  Going up there was scary, but coming back down was more scary because of how steep it was.  In some of the pictures, you will notice that people were holding onto the rails while walking.  After the Great Wall, we went to lunch at a Friendship Store.  It had lots of souvenirs to pick from.
