You go on a cruise to Alaska, you are most likely going to visit Glacier Bay. We didn't have the sun like we did in Skagway, and it sure was cold, but we could still see the glacier very well. There are lots of pictures of it, including some where large chunks of ice break off and fall into the sea, but there is nothing like being in front of it watching it slowly push forward into the water.
